Ask Dr. Hemmer
Q. Why should I add whole food nutrition into my practice?
A. Every successful Chiropractor I’ve ever met is always looking to add more value and benefits to their patient experience. They are always looking to expand farther and farther into their life so they can make a permanent positive impact. Recommending whole food nutrition is a simple, straightforward extension of what we do as chiropractors, help the body heal itself. Besides, recent studies reveal 67% of your patients are currently taking supplements and only 3% of them have any professional advice before doing so. This provides you with a huge opportunity.
Q. Does it take a lot of time, money and staff to implement a whole food nutrition program into your practice?
A. Absolutely not! The key to making it work is using a system. You start slowly with some core supplements and build confidence. As you learn more, so does your staff. I’ve slowly grown my practice over 20 years and my staff does about 90 percent of the work. I recommend what they need, the staff does the rest.
Q. I don’t want to look like a salesman. How do I position myself so you don’t look like that?
A. That’s very simple. You become the best, most sought after doctor in your community. You are respected because of your knowledge and education of your community. Your town knows you always have their best interest at heart. When you have accomplished this, they trust you and your recommendations. Even if they don’t take your recommendation you’re not seen as “selling”. And getting into this position is easier than you think.
Q. It’s too hard to implement new things into my practice, what makes this system different?
A. I totally agree. That is why I have worked my system in my own practice for 7 years before I was ready to roll it out to the public. I’ve tested every aspect “in the trenches” of my own practice and have continuously changed and modified it until I got it right. Last year I added 1K per week profit using this system, without changing my core Chiropractic philosophy of adjusting every single patient first and foremost.

Hello,
Juan Nodarse suggested that I contact you for a little help. I recently started using Standard Process vitamins in my practice. I was interested in writing a letter to my patients, active and inactive), introducing a few of the benefits of whole food vitamins, etc. What I was looking for was an introduction letter that you may have found to be successful. Any suggestions or thoughts would greatly be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Gary
Hello, I am a wellness educator. I teach alot about whole food nutrition. I was asked by a client to show me some research showing the effectiveness of standard process whole food vitamin line in humans. ANd I could not. I do know of it’s quality and high std mfr practices. BUt how do you side step the lack of published research? Thanks for any help. Deborah Hucke
Thanks for your comment. I side step the lack of published research with common sense and clinical effectiveness. I have been using SP effectively in my practice for more than 20 years. I have tried many isolated vitamin and mineral products and have never found anything close to SP. You can also go to the SP website and they do have all of the published research they have been envolved with. But anybody who has ever asked for research in my practice is someone who is just looking for a way to NOT do what they need to do. They are looking for excuses to stay in the depleted state they’re in.
I always say the proof is in the pudding, not the research!!
