Three Ways to grow your practice
How you can multiply your profits by doing all three
It’s often said the three ways to grow your practice are to increase your number of patients, increase the amount each patient purchases per visit and finally increase the number of visits each patient comes to see you. These three methods of increasing your business can all be accomplished in combination if you do the right things in the right order.
So many doctors start with trying to get more new patients, but often times this is the wrong place to start. Usually you must begin this process by looking and thinking about the different products and services you can provide to your current and past patients to add more value and benefit to their patient experience in your office.
Always look to provide to your patients with what they need before and/or after your adjustments and then find a way to provide it to them. We all know physiological problems lead to further subluxations so providing support with whole food nutritional supplements makes perfect sense to most patients. Postural stress at work or home leads to more subluxations so adding massage therapy or a stretching program to your list of services you offer would also be of great benefit to many patients.
This combination of adding new products and services to your practice helps you grow your practice in two out of the three ways. If people are happy and satisfied with their experience in your office they will continue to buy supplements and give massages as gifts and also get their adjustments on a more regular basis. You have given them the opportunity to better their life in multiple ways and most people will take advantage of this situation.
This then leads to the final way to grow your business which is getting more new patients. When you are doing a great job in the first two areas of growing your business, the new patients will increase automatically by word of mouth referrals. People love to talk about great services and great experiences. If you are providing both of those things regularly in your practice, your new patient numbers will increase.
You can always create and utilize an advertising and marketing campaign to bring new patients in, but if you don’t have the other two pieces of the puzzle in place, you won’t reach the goals you set for yourself. So use advertising and marketing for new patients after you have the other two pieces humming along nicely.
If you combine all three of these ways to increase your business correctly you can many times double your practice in a matter of months. But it can take many months for you to get ready. But, believe me, it’s worth it.
